Introduction

In this post, we discuss Twitter.Twitter recently announced that now we can see the algorithms used by Twitter and it is now open-source.

Twitter is doing this for transparency to their users and also for the developers who are working in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence.

What is Twitter?

Twitter, Inc. is an American social media company based in San Francisco, California. The company operates a social networking service.

Twitter announces its algorithms as an open source

Recently Twitter announced that its Algorithms as an open source. it creates a GitHub repository that contains some parts of the code of its algorithms.

Now we can see how Twitter’s recommendation system works and also use those algorithms for our use cases.

Here are the GitHub repositories:

They published two GitHub repositories one is the main Recommendation Algorithms and the second one is the machine learning algorithms that are used by Twitter.

How did twitter’s Algorithms work?

The Twitter Recommendation Algorithm is a set of services and jobs that are responsible for constructing and serving the Home Timeline.

From the below diagram, we can see how major services and jobs interconnect.

Twitter’s Major Services And Jobs

Now anyone can use this code and use it.

Summary

This is a simple post for our knowledge of twitter’s open-source GitHub repository and its algorithms. In the future, we can use these algorithms and create the best system that will change our way of thinking.

In the future, we study these algorithms deeply and try to understand and implement these algorithms.

Also, you can read my other articles and increase your understanding of artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Happy Learning And Keep Learning…

Thank You…
